I have extensive experience of working with a broad range of mental health difficulties and psychological issues, from mild to very severe, including anxiety, depression, panic, OCD, anger, phobias, low self-esteem, traumatic life events, self-loathing/criticism, work-related stress, loss and bereavement and relationship difficulties. I also have experience in providing psychological support to people adjusting to life-limiting conditions. In addition to my private practice I have worked in the NHS for over 10 years.

I regularly provide professional/clinical supervision, consultation and training to a range of professionals including cognitive behavioural therapists, clinical psychologists, trainee psychologists & therapists and other professional groups.


My approach:

I work in a very flexible, integrative way, drawing from a number of therapeutic approaches in order to deliver a therapy that is tailored to your individual needs.  Sometimes people may want therapy to learn new skills for coping with the stresses of life or for specific problems like feeling depressed or anxious. Other times people may need a safe space to try and make sense of things, to explore ideas, or somewhere to just think out loud, feel listened to and supported. As a clinical psychologist I’ve been trained to develop psychological formulations tailored to the individual and I have much experience in providing evidence-based therapies such as CBT.

I also provide personal development training which can help you to develop psychological skills and strategies to support you in getting the most out of your personal and professional relationships and in working towards achieving the sort of life you want.

I’m aware that it isn’t always convenient or possible to meet in person and so I also provide online-based therapy sessions.

As well as 1:1 support I also offer individual and group supervision, consultation and training to therapists, trainees and a range of professionals.

I most frequently draw upon CBT, mindfulness, psychodynamic, compassion-focused and mentalisation-based approaches in my work.


Professional Qualifications:

I’m a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with HCPC registration and BABCP Accredited as both a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) and as a Supervisor of CBT. I completed my doctorate in clinical psychology (D.Clin.Psych) training at the University of Oxford. I’m a qualified supervisor and am listed on the British Psychological Society’s Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors and the BABCP register of accredited supervisors of CBT.
