I have been treating people with Homeopathy since 1986, working from home in Bristol, and subsequently in Newport. I have also been a Homeopathic teacher and supervisor for many years, and currently run a supervision group for Homeopaths in Bristol. I am registered with The Society of Homeopaths .
I initially studied science and have an Honours degree in Physics, but have spent most of my life in work that is person-centered. My Homeopathy training was at the School of Homeopathy in Devon, with Misha Norland, and I graduated in 1988.
My qualifications are: B.Sc. (Bachelor of Science), D.S.H. (Diploma of the School of Homeopathy), R.S.Hom (Registered Member of the Society of Homeopaths). I am also qualified as an adult education teacher (City and Guilds), and have done many courses and workshops in different types of healing and self-development. I completed training as a Focusing Practitioner in 2011.
I treat a lot of children in my Homeopathy practice, which I enjoy – this includes babies and all ages through to teens. I particularly enjoy working with adults and teenagers with ‘life orientation’ problems, but generally I find that people come to see me with all sorts of health issues, both physical and psychological, and I enjoy a very varied caseload.
Within Homeopathy I have a particular interest in Sea Remedies (i.e. remedies made from sea creatures) and I initiated ‘The Sea Remedies Project’ for Homeopaths in 2004. I prescribe sea remedies quite frequently in my practice and have taught a series of workshops on Sea Remedies for homeopaths. I was co-editor of a Sea Remedies issue of the online homeopathy journal Interhomeopathy in March 2013.
I discovered Focusing in 2007, and have found it to be a wonderful tool for spiritual and emotional self-healing. I completed training as a Focusing Practitioner in 2011 and am registered with the British Focusing Association (BFA). I offer 1-1 Focusing sessions in Bristol and Newport and also run day or weekend ‘Introduction to Focusing’ workshops.
I have a lifelong interest in ‘practical spirituality’, which, as well as Homeopathy, has included the study and practice of Yoga, Meditation, Tai-chi, Qigong, Dreamwork, and various healing modalities. I am a founder member of Bristol Insight Meditation Group, a Buddhist meditation group, and have been actively involved in organising one-day meditation retreats in Bristol with dharma teachers from Gaia House in Devon.
