We recently welcomed Helen Dacey to Abergavenny Natural Therapy Centre. Helen specialises in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT).
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) is ‘present focussed,’ it works with thoughts and feelings in the ‘here and now.’ Sometimes, through no fault of our own we often get ‘stuck,’ in vicious cycles. CBT is about finding out what is keeping us ‘stuck,’ and making changes in our thinking and actions in order to improve the way we feel. CBT is a collaborative and evidenced based therapy and it has proven to be particularly successful for treating anxiety and depression.
