What is Systemic Counselling?
Systemic Counselling and Psychotherapy is a radical approach to talking through any problems experienced in peoples’ lives. The usefulness and value of this sensible approach is evidenced and backed through research. Within the Systemic approach, we work an Existential edge, taking interest in the meaning of life to each unique client. The overarching methods are Dialogical, including Narrative therapy, and integrating Solution Focus where useful.
How does it help?
As the name ‘Systemic’ suggests, we will take account of the various and different systems of your world, for example, your family, your intimate relationships, your workplace, community, and environment. If you are experiencing difficult emotions and moods as a natural response to what is going on in your life, you may have been diagnosed with a mental health issue, such as depression, anxiety, and so forth. In therapy sessions we work to help you to find a sense of who you are amongst any disturbance you may be experiencing. There will be shifts and openings to uncover your values, strengths and resources.
We can work towards understanding what’s going on in your world; we can create a difference for your here and now . . . possibly for your future . . . and possibly with those around you.
